Even though the building has changed, the roots of the Eminence Christian Church extend back as far as 1838. The structure seen today was built in 1901 and still holds regular services. The church is beleived to be have one of the longest running congregations in the United States, going back at least eight generations for some of the families who attend mass here. This building is found 4 mi (6 km) west of Atlanta.
