Pana Parks & Gardens
People wanting to head outdoors in Pana can try visiting Anderson Prairie wildlife park. This 25-acre (10 ha) park features trails for hiking and biking, as well as many opportunities to observe the local plants and animals. Guests can get into the park by following the old rail tracks to the bridge which will take them inside.
In 1908, Captain John Kitchell and his wife donated this park to the city. Taking the name of its previous owner, Kitchell Park embraces 40 acres (16 ha) of land south of the city. It includes a pavillion, a bridge, a gazebo, an auditorium, a stage, playgrounds, tennis courts, baseball diamonds and soccer fields. Kitchell Park is nationally recognized as a historical landmark.
