Deer Run Campground at Sangchris Lake near Rochester has 130 campsites. Eighty have electricity, showers and vehicle access; 40 have vehicle access and showers, but no electricity; five sites are specifically for tent camping and have showers and no vehicle access; and the remaining five are equestrian campsites with shower facilities. This campground is located on the north side of the lake.
Southeast of the city, the Springfield KOA offers a quiet country setting with covered tent sites, level pull thrus and nearby camper rentals. Enjoy weekend activities on KOA's deck, then head to nearby Lake Springfield for swimming, boating (rentals available on the water) and fishing.
Hickory Point Campground is found on the east side of the Lake Sangchris, close to a boat dock and a playground area. It has 55 sites available with electricity, vehicle access and showers; 10 walk-in tenting sites with access to showers; and two cabins. Other activities found nearby include hiking, picnicking, fishing and canoing.
